Arrival in Oslo

Arrive in Oslo and transfer to your central hotel. Spend the day exploring the city at your leisure. Visit the hospitality desk in the afternoon to finalize details for tomorrow’s charter flight.
Day 1

Oslo to Longyearbyen – Embarkation

After breakfast, board the charter flight to Nuuk, Greenland, where your vessel, Sylvia Earle, awaits. Settle into your cabin and attend safety briefings. In the evening, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Drinks and meet the expedition team and crew.
Day 2

Discovering Svalbard

Explore Svalbard’s vast Arctic wilderness, where daily plans adapt to nature’s rhythm. Sail aboard a stabilized ice-class ship into remote ice-filled waters, scanning for polar bears, sunbathing walruses, Svalbard reindeer, Arctic foxes, and seals. Spot whales like belugas, fin, and minkes alongside expert spotters on the Bridge. Venture into fjords and sheltered bays, perfect for kayaking among icebergs and towering peaks. Recap the day’s adventures with your field staff, featuring footage from the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) revealing the hidden depths of the Arctic ocean below.
Days 3-8

Longyearbyen to Oslo

Arrive in Ilulissat, famously known as the ‘birthplace of icebergs’. Hike past husky sled dogs to the UNESCO-listed Icefjord, where you’ll be in awe of its vastness. Witness the remarkable Sermeq Kujalleq (Jakobshavn Glacier), the Northern Hemisphere’s most productive glacier, generating 20 million tonnes of ice daily that float into Ilulissat Icefjord and Disko Bay.
Day 9

Oslo Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
