Journey to Antarctica Day-by-Day

Arrival

Arrive in Buenos Aires or Santiago and transfer to your pre-voyage hotel. In the afternoon, visit the hospitality desk to collect your materials and get details about your journey. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing at your leisure.

Day 1

Embark

Fly to Ushuaia, the gateway to Antarctica. Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park and enjoy a scenic lunch cruise on the Beagle Channel, watching for sea lions and seabirds. By evening, board your expedition ship and prepare for your Antarctic adventure.

Day 2

Journey Across the Drake Passage

Cross the legendary Drake Passage, where conditions vary from calm to wild. Keep an eye out for seabirds, albatrosses, and possibly orcas or dolphins. Explore the ship, visit the Bridge for wildlife spotting, enjoy a massage, or attend a talk on penguin biology. Relax in the observation lounge and reflect on the historic passage named after Francis Drake but first discovered by Francisco de Hoces.

Day 3-4

Antarctic Peninsula Exploration

Arrive in Antarctica and be mesmerized by your first iceberg and the crisp, fresh air. Enjoy flexible days filled with exploration, including Zodiac cruises along dramatic ice cliffs, whale watching, and spotting seals and penguins. Each day presents new opportunities, from kayaking among towering icebergs to walking with thousands of Adélie and gentoo penguins. Capture the stunning landscapes and wildlife with your camera.

Day 5-6

Antarctic Adventure and Discovery

Continue your Antarctic adventure with activities tailored to the conditions and wildlife encounters. Experience the thrill of navigating through pack ice, explore remote shores, and visit penguin rookeries and historic sites. Your expert expedition team will guide you through these unforgettable experiences, making every moment a chance to discover something new.

Day 7-9

Crossing the Drake Passage

As we sail away from Antarctica, enjoy the ship’s amenities and reflect on your incredible journey. Round the southern tip of South America and witness the meeting of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Take time to review your photos and send messages to loved ones. Join us for a farewell dinner on board as we celebrate the adventure and the unforgettable landscapes and wildlife you’ve experienced.

Day 10-11

Departure

Disembark in Ushuaia and board a private charter flight to Buenos Aires or Santiago. From there, connect with your overnight flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Antarctic adventure.
