Arrival in Queenstown

Arrive in Queenstown, New Zealand, and head to your designated hotel. In the evening, join your fellow adventurers and expedition team for a casual dinner, kicking off your Antarctic adventure.
Day 1

Port of Bluff

Enjoy breakfast and a free morning in Queenstown before lunch. Then, transfer to the Port of Bluff to board your ship. Settle in, attend safety briefings, and join the team on deck as we sail toward The Snares.
Day 2

The Snares - North East Island

Cruise the sheltered waters around The Snares, a pristine island nature reserve. Spot Snares Crested Penguins and seabirds, with excellent chances for wildlife photography.
Day 3

Auckland Islands - Enderby Island

Land on Enderby Island, home to rare New Zealand Sea Lions and diverse bird species. Explore the island on foot, enjoying wildlife sightings and stunning coastal views.
Day 4

At Sea

Spend the day at sea with expert lectures on Subantarctic wildlife. Keep an eye out for albatrosses and petrels soaring above.
Day 5

Macquarie Island

Visit Macquarie Island, home to thousands of Royal, King, and Rockhopper Penguins. Watch the lively penguin colonies and Southern Elephant Seals lounging on the beaches.
Day 6-7

At Sea

Sail south toward the Ross Sea, with lectures focusing on the region’s history. Marvel at the drifting icebergs and prepare for the wonders of Antarctica.
Day 8-10

Ross Sea - Antarctica

During our time in the Ross Sea region, we'll explore historic and scenic locations, with our itinerary flexible due to weather and ice conditions. We will visit Cape Adare, home to Antarctica's largest Adelie Penguin rookery and the historic Borchgrevink’s Hut. At Cape Hallett, we’ll discover towering mountains and abundant wildlife, including Adelie Penguins and Weddell Seals. Franklin Island offers a rugged landscape teeming with seabirds, while we’ll cruise along the massive ice cliffs of the Ross Ice Shelf, the world's largest floating ice body. Our journey will also take us to Ross Island to visit Shackleton’s and Scott’s huts, and, conditions permitting, modern research stations. Finally, we'll experience the Italian research station at Terra Nova Bay, learning about ongoing polar science, all amidst breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters that bring the history of Antarctica to life.
Day 11-22

At Sea

Relax as we sail north. Enjoy more pelagic birdwatching and reflect on your Antarctic experience.
Day 23-25

Campbell Island - Perseverance Harbour

Discover Campbell Island’s rugged beauty. Walk to the hilltop breeding sites of Southern Royal Albatrosses and enjoy encounters with seals, penguins, and unique flora.
Day 26

At Sea

Relax on board, edit photos, and enjoy a farewell dinner as we head back to New Zealand.
Day 27

Departure

Disembark in Bluff, New Zealand. After breakfast, transfer to Invercargill or Queenstown for your onward journey.
