Amazon River Odyssey Day-by-Day

Arrival

Arrive in the gateway city and receive a warm welcome from the crew before heading on a scenic tour and enjoying a welcome lunch. Transfer to the port for embarkation and settle into your spacious suite as your Amazon adventure begins. Meet your expert guides, complete a safety briefing, and savor your first taste of regionally inspired cuisine.

Day 1

River Wildlife & Stargazing

Begin the day with early morning birdwatching along the Amazon River. After breakfast, set out on a skiff excursion along a winding tributary, spotting parrots, hawks, monkeys, and sloths. In the evening, explore the black waters in search of nocturnal wildlife before ending the night with breathtaking stargazing.

Day 2

Piranha Fishing & Jungle Walks

Cruise through a remote tributary at the edge of a vast nature reserve, fishing for the Amazon’s infamous piranhas while spotting exotic wildlife. Visit a local riverside village to meet the community and learn about traditional practices. Canoe or swim in the blackwater lagoons, keeping an eye out for pink dolphins. In the afternoon, venture into the jungle on a guided walk, discovering medicinal plants, colorful insects, and elusive poison dart frogs.

Day 3

Local Markets & the Birthplace of the Amazon

Explore a lively riverside market before cruising to meet artisans who weave palm fibers using traditional techniques. Visit a local beekeeper, then set out on skiffs to witness the stunning confluence where the Amazon River is born. In the evening, welcome new travelers joining the journey.

Day 4

Ucayali River & Dorado Lake Exploration

Start the day early with a wildlife search along the Ucayali River. Explore Yanallpa Creek by skiff, keeping an eye out for pink river dolphins and local fishermen. In the evening, cruise the black waters of Dorado Lake, searching for nocturnal wildlife under a star-filled sky.

Day 5

River Safari: Ucayali, Puinahua & Zapote Rivers

Day 6

Wildlife Adventures: Clavero Lake & Yarapa River

Start the day with wildlife spotting along the Ucayali River. After breakfast, choose from fishing for piranhas, canoeing, kayaking, swimming in the black waters of Clavero Lake, or visiting an Amazon village. In the afternoon, take a skiff excursion along the Yarapa River in search of more wildlife. Before dinner, meet the crewmembers who made your journey unforgettable.

Day 7

Departure

In the morning, visit the local market to discover the regional produce of the Peruvian Amazon. After breakfast aboard the vessel, disembark and head to the Manatee Rescue Centre, where orphaned manatees are rehabilitated for release into the wild. Then, transfer to the airport for your departure
