Galapagos Islands to San Cristobal Day-by-Day

Arrival & Kicker Rock

Arrive in San Cristobal and transfer to your hotel. Then, head to Kicker Rock, a stunning volcanic formation. Spot Blue-footed and Nazca Boobies, frigatebirds, and sea lions. Snorkel in the waters, where manta rays, hammerhead sharks, and turtles may be seen.

Day 1

Prince Philip’s Steps & Darwin Bay

Visit Genovesa, also known as "Bird Island." Hike Prince Philip’s Steps to see Red-footed Boobies, Frigatebirds, and Short-eared Owls. Later, land at Darwin Bay, where sea lions rest on the beach and seabirds nest. End with a snorkel in the bay, home to vibrant reef fish and sea stars.

Day 2

North Seymour & Sullivan Bay

Visit North Seymour for sea lions, frigatebirds, and Blue-footed Boobies performing courtship dances. Then, explore Santiago’s Sullivan Bay, where you’ll witness volcanic lava fields and vibrant Sally Lightfoot crabs. Enjoy snorkeling with tropical fish.

Day 3

Bolivar Canal Cruising & Punta Mangle

Cruise through the Bolivar Canal, enjoying views of Galápagos wildlife and stunning landscapes. Then, explore Fernandina's Punta Mangle, where mangrove-lined shores provide a unique habitat for birds, sharks, and sea turtles. Snorkel to see Marine Iguanas and flightless cormorants.

Day 4

Santa Cruz & Fausto Llerena Breeding Center

Explore Santa Cruz Island's diverse landscapes, from lush highlands to the shoreline, where giant tortoises thrive. Visit the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, home to giant tortoises and land iguanas, and learn about conservation efforts. Enjoy free time in Puerto Ayora's charming town afterward.

San Cristobal – Isla Lobos & Cerro Brujo

Explore Isla Lobos, with its white sand beaches, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and vibrant marine life perfect for snorkeling. Then, visit Cerro Brujo, a striking tuff cone with stunning views and a beach home to marine birds and Sally Lightfoot crabs. Finish with a walk to the coastal lagoon, where shorebirds like stilts and plovers can be spotted.

Day 7

Departure

San Cristóbal, one of the oldest islands in the Galapagos, is formed by dormant volcanoes. The island is home to around 8,000 people, with Puerto Baquerizo Moreno serving as the archipelago's capital. Visit the harbor, where a statue of Charles Darwin commemorates his likely landing here in the 1830s, marking an important historical moment in the Galapagos’ discovery. Afterward, it's time to disembark and depart for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Galapagos adventure.
