Antarctic Explorer Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival

Your adventure starts in Ushuaia, a lively port town at the southern tip of Argentina. It’s the perfect spot to explore Patagonia’s rugged beauty and relax before your expedition, whether hiking the nearby mountains or enjoying local chocolate at a cozy café.

Departure

In the late afternoon, you'll board your ship and set sail through the scenic Beagle Channel, winding through the southernmost reaches of South America. As the ship moves forward, excitement builds—your next sight of land will be the frozen shores of Antarctica!

Day 3-4

Journey Across the Drake Passage

As you cross the Drake Passage, enjoy informative talks from your Expedition Team on topics like wildlife, photography, and polar history. Between sessions, head out to the deck to spot marine life or unwind with fellow travelers in the ship's lounge.

Day 5-6

South Shetland Islands

Arriving at the South Shetland Islands brings a sense of awe as you step onto the 7th Continent. Each day, you'll embark on Zodiac excursions to explore icy bays, penguin colonies, and seal-covered shores. Every landing is a unique, unforgettable experience.

Day 7-8

Antarctic Peninsula

Continue your adventure along the Antarctic Peninsula, with hikes, visits to research stations, and wildlife-spotting Zodiac cruises. Keep an eye out for whales and seals, while the sounds of calving glaciers and chattering penguins make each moment unforgettable.

Day 9-10

Crossing the Drake Passage

As you make your return across the Drake Passage, soak in the last moments of Antarctic air. Spend time on deck spotting seabirds and whales, attend final presentations by your Expedition Team, and reflect on the incredible experiences shared during your journey.

You will arrive back on land in the morning, which allows for you to continue your adventure onward or catch your flights home.
